FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gentlebrand Design Team presents Giossa, a premium glass bottle design crafted for Prosecco sparkling wine. The inspiration for Giossa comes from the vineyard, with engravings representing leaves, branches, and grapes, making the bottle unique. The design is carefully balanced to ensure both industrial feasibility and aesthetic appeal.
Giossa is a packaging concept developed around the local territory, with the bottle seemingly wrapped by vine branches, symbolizing its connection to the Prosecco's origin. The label features a wood-like effect achieved through a meticulous choice of papers, maintaining the bottle's premium look and feel even when exposed to moisture.
The design process for Giossa involved initial handmade sketches and 3D CAD modeling, with the final product made of glass using standard bottle glass manufacturing technology. The label is crafted from high-quality papers with offset printing and metal foil finishing, while the closure features cork material and standard dimensions for a sparkling wine bottle.
The Giossa bottle has a capacity of 750ml, a height of 295mm, and a diameter of 96.4mm, with a glass weight of 754g. The label is made of paper material with offset printing technology and metal foil finishing, and the capsule is constructed from polylaminate (Aluminium and polyethylene).
Giossa's design incorporates various process technologies, including the production of a glass bottle with complex decorations and a label made of premium papers and eye-catching graphics. The design is a result of modern production techniques, emphasizing its connection to the territory and heritage of the wine.
The project for Giossa commenced in the middle of 2021 at Gentlebrand's company in San Vendemiano and was finalized for display at the Drinktec tradeshow in Munich in September 2022. The design was developed following in-depth research into the Prosecco wine tradition and its bond with the territory, ensuring it effectively communicates the heritage and story of the wine.
Giossa was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence. The design's intricate 3D model engineering, featuring graphic elements inspired by vineyards, presented a significant creative and technical challenge, resulting in a unique tridimensionality effect.
