Wei Peng Hung Introduces "Ning," a Spinning Top Interactive Light Designed to Bring Tranquility and Peace
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wei Peng Hung introduces "Ning," a spinning top interactive light designed to bring tranquility and peace to its users. Inspired by the oriental Chinese characters for "Ning," meaning tranquility, this lamp aims to provide a sense of peace and healing. The design draws inspiration from the gyro, Turkish whirling dance, and Mount Fuji, combining history, culture, and elegance into a unique mood lighting experience.
"Ning" is a spinning top interactive light that turns on when it starts to spin and continues until stopped, offering a stable mood for users. Made of recycled glass, aluminum, and embedded with electromagnet modules and LED lights, "Ning" is a sustainable and artistic piece, promoting a balanced co-prosperity between humans and nature.
Charge "Ning" first, then rotate the gyro on the base after it is fully charged. When the gyro responds to the electromagnet of the base, it will start to glow and rotate, providing a therapeutic interaction for users.
Wei Peng Hung, an industrial designer from New Taipei, Taiwan, has been awarded the Bronze A' Design Award for "Ning" in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category in 2023. Hung, a graduate student with a passion for aesthetics-related products, aspires to improve the world through design.
