Ken Lun Yang and Chia Huang Chen have unveiled their latest residential apartment design, "Best Moment Ever," aimed at providing a high-quality living space for the elderly. The project, located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, was completed on May 1st, 2019, and has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020.

The 548.7 square meter interior and 826 square meter exterior space offer a unique blend of functionality and aesthetics, catering specifically to the retirement lifestyle. The apartment features an elevator and kitchen counter on each floor, along with a floor heating system, making it ideal for mountainous areas with lower temperatures and higher humidity.

The design team's people-oriented approach has resulted in a residence adorned with soothing warm colors, large windows for ample natural light, and breathtaking views, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance for the occupants.

The apartment also boasts a working studio for the homeowner, where custom solid wood appliances and metal gem crafts can be created. Additionally, a partially open bathroom in the backyard provides a stunning view of the surrounding nature.

One of the standout features of "Best Moment Ever" is the integration of a raised tea area adjacent to the dining room, offering a relaxed space to enjoy tea while taking in the natural surroundings. The terrace outside the working studio is adorned with elegant plants and flowers, further enhancing the connection with nature.

Overcoming various design challenges, the team prioritized logical space arrangement to ensure convenience and comfort for the occupants. The use of hidden lighting for safety, open layouts, and customized interior designs in each bedroom reflects a meticulous approach to meeting diverse needs and lifestyles.
