A Holistic Approach to Immersive Storytelling
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shaoyang Chen's "Boxed" campaign is a groundbreaking immersive experience designed to captivate the audience at the premiere of the movie "Boxed," written and directed by Alam Virk. The campaign aims to provoke introspection and inspire positive change by immersing the audience in the movie's theme of confronting the superficiality of modern culture. Through various mediums, including posters, wristbands, and motion graphics, the campaign seeks to deepen the audience's understanding of the movie's message.
The campaign's unique approach includes VFX for the title sequence and end credits, as well as meticulously curated copywriting for posters and wristbands. By incorporating the box metaphor into every aspect of the campaign, from typography layouts to physical wristbands, the "Boxed" campaign aims to create a comprehensive sensory experience for the audience.
Shaoyang Chen, an alumnus of the School of Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts Design program, has brought her multi-disciplinary expertise to this project, aiming to bridge cultural gaps through visual communication. The "Boxed" campaign has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in Advertising, Marketing, and Communication Design, showcasing its outstanding creativity and contribution to improving quality of life.
