FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dancer Unveils Ultra-Light Electric City Bus

Dancer, a team of urban challengers, has unveiled the Dancer, an ultra-light electric city bus designed to address environmental concerns and economic logics. The Dancer bus draws inspiration from the graceful moves of dancers and the technical prowess of racing yachts, resulting in a unique and innovative design.

The Dancer is a city transport solution that includes electric buses, full maintenance, and its own green energy supply. It is engineered in-house from scratch, making it the lightest full-size bus in the world with a 6-minute super-fast charging. The bus features curved sidewalls for extra strength, made with the use of recycled PET bottles, and a rounded body for enhanced maneuverability. Additionally, the rear screen enhances traffic visibility for fellow drivers or can be used for advertising purposes.

The bus body structure is made of 5 large modules resembling wind power turbines or sports yachts construction concepts, simplifying the assembly process. The composite structure is made of glass fiber, vinyl ester resin, and recycled PET foam, ensuring the bus is ultra-light, strong, and ready for re-recycling.

The Dancer bus measures 12.1 meters in length, 2.5 meters in width, and 3.2 meters in height, with a top speed of 70 km/h and an average range of 90-110 km. It can accommodate 100 passengers plus the driver and offers various comforts, including HVAC, USB for passengers, automatic ramp, skylight, rear screen safety feature, and 360-degree view cameras.

The project was initiated in 2012 in Lithuania, Klaipeda city, and involved extensive research and development in collaboration with Klaipeda University. The Dancer bus design is a recipient of the Golden A' Design Award in the Vehicle, Mobility, and Transportation Design category in 2020.

Dancer's driving spirit is to make cities a better place to live by uniting science, technology, and art to improve the urban environment. The company's electric bus offers new standards of availability and affordability for transport operators while being nature-friendly, made with significant use of recycled materials, and entirely powered by green energy.
