Hsiao-ching Hu's Fusion Bar Design Wins Silver in A' Design Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hsiao-ching Hu's Silver Lining restaurant and bar, located in Taipei City, Taiwan, is a fusion bar that recently won the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023. The design concept, "a Night through the Valley," combines the owner's preference for arches and exotic touches, creating a space filled with dark green tones and columns that divide the room into kitchen and seating sections. The unique design features green walls and doors with folding windows, providing customers with both a cozy dining experience and enhanced protection, especially during the pandemic. The project was completed in May 2021 and covers an area of 99.1m2.
The rugged, unsaturated touch on the dark green walls simulates misty forest views, while the floor texture visualizes a stream flowing through the valley. The design utilizes frosted glass windows to create an image of swaying moonlight passing through the shadows of woods, enhancing the tranquil experience. The fusion bar's unique features include a straight bar extending into the room, gypsum-formed rough surfaces on the walls, and belt lights hovering over double tables, creating a sense of wilderness. Delicate use of reflections, like moonlight shining through the leaves, can be found in the acrylic mirrors and hand-made lamps, adding a magical touch to the space.
Hsiao-ching Hu's Silver Lining design is a testament to outstanding expertise and innovation, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder. The fusion bar's unique concept and exceptional execution have earned it the Silver A' Design Award, recognizing its creative and professionally remarkable design.
