Sitting amidst lush greenery, Grayscale Shadows by Chih Wen Mau seamlessly integrates the indoors and outdoors with floor-to-ceiling windows, maximizing natural light and spatial vision. The neutral grayscale shades and hand-painted smears on the walls create a rustic and original ambiance, complemented by a mix of wood, white hues, dark gray shades, iron, and glass elements.
The 392 square meter space includes a living room, dining room, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms, showcasing a blend of faux finishes, veneer, systeam furniture, wooden floors, tiles, and ironwork. The design's unique properties and low-chroma aesthetic contribute to its serene atmosphere.
The entrance, defined by dark gray stone tiles and wooden cabinets, sets the tone for a relaxing vibe. The use of slim iron pieces with glass assemblies allows natural light to pass through while maintaining privacy. The living room features asymmetrical natural textures and a wooden TV cabinet, creating layers and visual interest.
The study area, defined by a half-height wall, promotes transparency and family interaction, while the dining space exudes a cozy atmosphere with modern table settings and dimmable lighting. Grayscale Shadows is a testament to Chih Wen Mau's innovative design techniques and attention to detail, offering homeowners a unique and charming living space.
