Blue Chip Indulgence Restaurant Design

Chaos Design Studio has unveiled the Blue Chip Indulgence restaurant project, a stunning fine dining establishment located at BLANC Restaurant Macalister Mansion in Penang, Malaysia. The design concept was inspired by the existing old British mansions, incorporating Old English elements into the fixtures and furniture to create an elegant and welcoming ambiance.

The team prioritized functionality and aesthetic, integrating modernized lighting and furniture with classical aspects of ornaments and metallic elements. The restaurant features an open plan with separate entrances for customers and service crew, a VIP room accessible from the dining area, and a waiting area designed to minimize undesired interaction and create a greater sense of privacy.

The project, which commenced on 1st May and was completed on 31st May 2019, was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design in 2020. The design showcases the team's ability to gracefully combine classical aspects with modern elements, overcoming challenges such as dampness in load-bearing walls and creating an elegant and warm Old English style fine dining restaurant that caters to various functions.
