Design Project: "Metaphors of Life"

Chia Mien Chang's "Metaphors of Life" project reimagines the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a seamless blend of virtual and reality. The 198.348 square meter apartment features a unique integration of cultural art and philosophy, offering a comfortable and open living space with an amplified visual effect. The lounge, dining room, and study are designed with a dark color tone, enhancing the modern urban style while providing an open field of vision through large French windows.

The project, winner of the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, overcame the challenge of combining two houses into one, resulting in a rethought layout planning to accurately arrange and plan the spatial layout. The young modern and dignified conservative paint strokes depict an extraordinary modern manner, creating a unique resplendence of the residential space with cozy elegance.

Chia Mien Chang's design philosophy is reflected in the "Metaphors of Life" project, where the existing living space is expanded via the extension of spirit. The design project portrays a modern yet urban style with a brand-new perspective, integrating cultural art among the details and layering the philosophy of life within the space.
