EgoHouse Architects Introduces the X House

EgoHouse Architects proudly presents the X House, a distinctive residential building that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. Situated in a mixed forest within the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, the X House is a testament to the studio's commitment to preserving green spaces and harmonizing architecture with nature.

The X House is a 460-square-meter marvel that embraces the play of light and shadow, volume and emptiness, and contrasts and nuances. Its design prioritizes the interaction with the environment through extensive panoramic glazing, creating a unique interior accent that brings nature into the living space.

The house's exterior features a blend of natural materials, including porcelain stoneware, metal, wooden elements, and fiber-cement panels, fostering a dialogue with the surrounding landscape.

The cantilever roof outlets and terraces of the second floor, implemented in reinforced concrete structures, create graphic broken lines around the main volume of the house, adding to its distinctive architectural appeal. This design approach reflects the studio's dedication to respecting the place and integrating the building with the natural environment.

Completed in January 2019, the X House project commenced in September 2017 and stands as a testament to EgoHouse Architects' innovative approach to architecture and construction. The studio's integrated team of designers, architects, constructors, and builders ensured that every detail of the X House project was meticulously executed to achieve a harmonious blend of creativity and practicality.

EgoHouse Architects' commitment to excellence has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade celebrates the studio's outstanding and creatively ingenious design, showcasing its strong technical and creative skills that contribute to quality of life improvements.
