Tarentum, a Greek-themed restaurant chain from Shenzhen, recently opened its first store in Wuhan, delivering the Mediterranean ocean style to the city streets, offering an immersive cultural experience for customers.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bin Liu, the designer behind Tarentum's first store in Wuhan, drew inspiration from the natural karst cave of Mykonos Island, aiming to highlight the unique Greek cultural gene of the brand. The design features materials like micro-cement, mattile, marble, and Xintong lighting, with a focus on creating an artificial three-dimensional cave.
The 386-square-meter space includes indoor and outdoor areas, with 36 dining tables indoors and 6 outdoors, accommodating a total of 128 customers. The project, which started in February 2022 and finished in May 2022, aimed to bring the delicate and elegant Greek cultural style to the city streets of Wuhan.
Through in-depth research and exploration of Wuhan's regional cultural characteristics, the design aimed to fuse brand and consumer culture, providing a leisure space for people to understand and experience exotic food. Despite the challenges in finding and conceiving the materials needed for the artistic conception, the designer successfully created a space that delivers the Mediterranean ocean style to Wuhan.
