Residential Design "The Vastness. The House Of Light"

Hsin-Chih Wu's "The Vastness. The House Of Light" is a luxurious residential space that stands out for its unique use of low-chroma colors and natural textures, creating a humanistic and poetic ambiance. The house, located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, was completed in 2020 and spans an interior area of approximately 90 square meters.

The design's standout feature is the abundant natural light that floods the space, thanks to its perfect location and large floor-to-ceiling windows. This allows the greenery outside to become an integral part of the interior, marking the trajectory of time and evoking a serene atmosphere.

The interior layout includes an entrance, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The open traffic flow seamlessly integrates the brightness of the interior with the lushness of the exterior, creating a visually stunning and comfortable living environment.

Utilizing stone, thin brick, and titanium plated metal, the design incorporates elements such as an Angora marble main TV wall, wooden cabinets, and a center island bar with a sink. These features, combined with the warm glow of transparent bubble chandeliers, create a calm and inviting atmosphere for both leisure and dining.

Throughout the space, curves are used to evoke a sense of softness, replacing sharp angles and contributing to the overall elegant appearance. The use of herringbone flooring in the living and study rooms, as well as stone-textured tiles in the dining room, adds to the luxurious and natural ambiance of the residence.
