Boguslaw Barnas Unveils a Unique Residential Architecture Inspired by Forgotten Eaves Houses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Boguslaw Barnas introduces The Lesser Polish Eaves Cottage, a modern residential architecture inspired by the forgotten traditional eaves houses of the region. The design, accommodating a 4-person family space, is a unique interpretation of the Polish wooden arcade architecture, featuring an unusual long and narrow plot of irregular shape.
The ground floor, entirely glazed from the south side, is finished with naturally patinating and aging wood, reminiscent of historical eaves houses. The contrasting, expressive form of the attic is finished with modern material, Ruukki Classic roofing sheet, defining precise architectural detail.
Despite regulatory restrictions, the design harmoniously integrates with the landscape, featuring discreetly hidden gutters and drainpipes, and an open living area with a steel structure integrated with divisions of window joinery, creating a spacious, glazed space along the entire length of the south elevation.
