City Heart Exhibition Hall Showcases Chongqing's Urban Identity

Ling Zhou's City Heart Exhibition Hall in Chongqing, China, offers a unique perspective on urban representation. The design aims to present the city through the eyes of the city itself, challenging traditional viewpoints and encouraging visitors to see the urban environment in a new light.

The exhibition hall covers an area of 90 square meters and utilizes soil and steel to express the city's essence from scratch, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection and resource conservation. Zhou's innovative approach to materials and design reflects a deep understanding of the city's history and development.

Completed in December 2019, the project involved on-site production and coordination, with a focus on shaping and treating the surface texture of the materials. The design team's dedication to realizing Zhou's vision resulted in a thought-provoking and visually stunning representation of Chongqing.
