Umi: A Multi-Mode Electric Bicycle for the Z-Generation

LVNENG Technology Co., Ltd. proudly unveils Umi, a multi-mode electric bicycle designed to meet the demands of the Z-generation for urban and short-distance travel. The Umi is equipped with the SCE Wisdom&cool Double-mode driving system, allowing users to switch between "sport" and "mileage" modes, balancing power consumption and speed. The opposed-cylinder disc brakes reduce the braking distance by 30%, ensuring user security.

Made of degradable thickened PPE, the Umi's vehicle shell applies Japanese Kaxiu baking paint and PU coating for higher color saturation, weathering the 720-hour salt spray test. The frame, made of 16Mn carbon steel, conquers road driving and mildly violent driving for its outstanding rigidity and toughness. The intelligent operation functions, including remote saddle opening, one-key backing, and automatic parking, provide an easy interactive experience to users.

Umi supports NFC non-contact and Bluetooth start, with intelligent light sensing technology adjusting the light intensity automatically according to the ambient light to protect night travel. The project was launched in Changzhou, China, in June 2021, and brought to market in March 2022. Through in-depth market research, the design team found that young people in the Z era used electric bicycles for urban and short-distance travel, which had two completely different demands for electric vehicles: high endurance and high speed. With the innovative dual-mode control system, Umi perfectly achieved a balance between power consumption and speed.

Equipped with the original SCE Wisdom&cool Double-mode driving system, users can switch between "sports" and "mileage" at low power consumption and high speed. Umi shows higher requirements in security. The front wheel is equipped with double piston disc brakes with opposite cylinders, thus shortening braking distance by 30%. With low rolling resistance energy-saving tires, strong grip is achieved in extreme environments, improving high-speed stability and long-distance endurance.
