FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alex Jiang's "The Sea Refuses No River" restaurant design draws inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of Shanghai, integrating Chinese and Western influences. The 478m² interior and 800m² landscape areas reflect the essence of the city, with the design incorporating elements such as copper-imitated stainless steel, Hainan volcanic rock, oak wood veneer, and gray marble to create a unique ambiance.
The design uniquely integrates 2D lines on the map with a 3D composition of nature and humanities, symbolizing the city's development and growth. The fusion of modern lines with Chinese traditional wood structure showcases the spirit of the iron window of Shikumen, creating a space that embodies the city's cultural heritage.
Recognized for its outstanding expertise and innovation, "The Sea Refuses No River" design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for its exceptional technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill. This prestigious accolade celebrates the design's remarkable level of excellence and its ability to evoke positive emotions, amazement, and wonder.
