Architect WEI-CHENG LIN Creates an Ideal Educational Institute

Renowned architect WEI-CHENG LIN has unveiled a groundbreaking kindergarten design, integrating historical culture, natural environment, and urban green spaces in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The innovative design aims to cultivate core qualities in children, offering a unique learning experience.

From a rainbow trail to a central square surrounded by colorful stairs, the design features a big camphor tree at its core, creating a vibrant and stimulating environment. The ecological farm and natural area with various plants provide diverse learning experiences throughout the year, while irregular classroom spaces offer flexibility for layout changes.

The architecture's floor and walls are painted with weather-resistant stone paint, utilizing children's color psychological theory to create a variety of colorful appearances. The reinforced concrete structure ensures durability and safety for the young learners.

Spanning approximately 27,967.35 square meters, with the kindergarten area covering 5000 square meters, the design offers a spacious and engaging environment for children to explore and learn. The project was completed in August 2020, showcasing a commitment to sustainable and innovative educational spaces.

WEI-CHENG LIN's design has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its practical, innovative, and industry-leading qualities. The architect's deep understanding of educational environments and dedication to creating a rich and functional campus has resulted in a truly exceptional kindergarten design.
