Aks Sconcentrico: A Unique Carrara Marble Dining Table

Ascanio Zocchi presents Aks Sconcentrico, a one-of-a-kind dining table crafted from Carrara statuary marble, drawing inspiration from the erosion of marble and the fragility of mountains. The table, with a diameter of 160 cm and a height of 75 cm, is a testament to Zocchi's innovative approach to design and material use.

The Aks Sconcentrico table is a result of meticulous craftsmanship, produced from a single monolithic block of marble using 6-axis CNC technology with water jet and diamond points. The surface is treated with a stain-resistant biological product, ensuring its imperviousness to stains. The grooves carved in marble, with stainless steel spheres inside, create a unique interactive experience, allowing for conviviality, waiting, or group work.

Unveiled at Marmomac 2019, the Aks Sconcentrico table embodies Zocchi's message of respect for nature and the fragility of mountains. The design not only serves a functional purpose but also conveys a deeper meaning, urging individuals to treat the environment with caution and respect.
