ANDRE KREBS unveils Surfland, a groundbreaking resort project, offering a year-round surfing experience in Garopaba, Brazil
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANDRE KREBS introduces Surfland, a revolutionary resort concept inspired by the fluidity of water and the stunning local nature. The project, located in Garopaba, Brazil, features the first National Park and Resort with an artificial wave pool, offering year-round surfing for both professional surfers and beginners. The contemporary, timeless style and sustainable spaces aim to provide a unique experience in line with the lifestyle of the Surfland Brasil brand.
The resort spans 400,000 m2, with a built area of 31,000 m2 and a total environmental preservation area of 233,000 m2. The highlight of the project is the 25,000 m2 wave pool area, equivalent to 20 Olympic pools, with 900 waves per hour, reaching up to 1.90 m in height, and allowing surfers to stay up to 16 seconds on each wave. The materials used include natural stone, wood, concrete, steel, sand, and native vegetation, with the artificial wave pool technology from the Spanish company Wavegarden.
Surfland will offer 270 apartments in a multi-property system, along with a complete infrastructure for various sports activities, a skate park, trails, bike paths, fitness space, spa center, kids club, open mall, surf museum, and gastronomic village. The project started in March 2018 and ended in June 2019, with a strong focus on sustainability and minimal environmental impact.
