The One Mountain Union Design presents a lakeside villa project in Guiyang, China, integrating contemporary geometric languages with urban naturalism, reshaping a harmonious and sustainable relationship among nature, life, and people.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Guiyang Lakeside Villa project by The One Mountain Union Design is a testament to the harmonious blend of urban naturalism and contemporary design. The project, completed in December 2021, is a four-floor lakeside villa with a 500-square-meter outdoor garden and an 800-square-meter interior space. The design team, led by Lin Haifeng, Huo Yi, and Xu Tian, has successfully integrated contemporary geometric languages with urban naturalism, creating a space that resonates with the evolving lifestyle and demands of the occupants.
The project stands out for its unique design approach, adopting simple but powerful design languages that fuse classics with fashion. The underground space houses the Chinese kitchen and dining room, strategically creating two non-interfering circulation routes, enhancing the functional efficiency of the space. The staircase, combined with a brass grille, leads to the upper levels from the underground space, while the double-height living room adopts simplistic carved lines and soft tones, creating a sense of depth and openness.
One of the distinctive features of the design is the integration of colorful fun artworks, fluid curves, and flexible spatial patterns, embodying the concept of sustainable design. The project not only focuses on functional possibilities within the existing space but also expands the underground space based on the owner's demands, enhancing the interaction between the occupants and nature.
The One Mountain Union Design's lakeside villa project in Guiyang has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2023, showcasing outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design. The project reflects the design team's commitment to creating spaces that harmonize and grow with nature, centering on people's feelings and deep-level demands in space.
