jaesu Choi's Design Transforms Lotte World into a Fun School Wonderland for All Ages
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
jaesu Choi's "Let's Play School" design for Lotte World's 2020 Spring Festival seamlessly blends the joy of spring with the nostalgia of school, creating a captivating space for visitors of all ages. The design features enchanting elements such as cherry blossoms and school-inspired motifs, offering a delightful experience for adults and children alike. The project, which commenced on March 7, 2020, and was completed on June 7, 2020, has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021.
The design team, led by jaesu Choi and including DODAMTEO and art director Inhyuk Jo, meticulously crafted interactive spaces, experimental zones, and captivating photo spots throughout the theme park. The installation presented unique challenges due to the need for overnight completion to ensure minimal disruption to park operations. The use of materials like wood, metal structures, digital printing, and LED lighting contributed to the creation of engaging and visually stunning environments.
By integrating the representative characters Lotty and Lorry into the school-themed spaces, jaesu Choi's design evokes cherished memories for adults while providing children with an imaginative setting to create new ones. The project's success lies in its ability to transform ordinary spaces into vibrant, fun-filled areas that offer visitors fresh and unique experiences. The design not only celebrates the arrival of spring but also highlights the spirit of the school, making it a must-visit attraction for the Spring Festival at Lotte World.
