FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Moon: Sculptural Table Light

Naai-Jung Shih's "Moon" is a unique table light that draws inspiration from the moon, symbolizing human imagination and offering a blend of aesthetic appeal and practical functionality. The design features a composition that resembles the moon rising from a mountain or the sea, casting light to illuminate its surroundings. This table light is designed to serve as a sculpture in daylight and a functional light device that eases the tension of work at night. The moon-shaped light can be connected to a laptop, offering a unique and versatile lighting solution for modern workspaces.

The source of light is an LED strip embedded in the peripheral ring, while the moon is made of photosensitive resin and supported by a stainless steel frame. The intricate pattern of the moon, inspired by the Apollo project's landing guide, is created using 3D printing technology, showcasing a strong connection between mathematical order and aesthetic appeal.

Measuring approximately 37 by 33 by 19 cm, this table light offers a unique interaction experience, with its double layers allowing enhanced depth and interaction with the background. The convex and concave sides of the design represent the surface and underground parts of the moon, creating a visually engaging experience for users.
