Interior Design Project "Home MJ" by Michael Wong

Michael Wong, in collaboration with Bernice Tam, has redefined the interior design of a 765-square feet apartment in Hong Kong, focusing on the interplay between exterior natural views and the interior space. Inspired by the mountain view, the design integrates spacious, natural, and comfortable elements to create a perfect relaxing home for the family.

The design features a clean, minimal slope ceiling to guide the eyes towards the mountain view, creating a sense of standing on top of a mountain. Additionally, a 2-in-1 ‘fireplace’ and bookshelf cabinet, timber materials for the dining area, and a kids' bedroom fashioned like a campsite, add unique and functional elements to the space.

Realized using terrazzo stone, solid wood flooring, plywood in wood veneer, and custom-made wall paint, the project involved extensive logistical planning and communication between the design team, client, construction builders, and suppliers.
