Light And The Woodhouse

Hui-Shan Lu's "Light And The Woodhouse" is a residential design that embodies tranquility and sophistication. Completed in March 2020 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, this 148-square-meter space features an open layout, entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. The design is a harmonious blend of wood and light, creating an atmosphere of infinite potential and majesty.

The use of Systeam furniture, Italian glazed stone, paint, and carpentry work brings the designer's vision to life. The unique properties of the design are evident in the play of light and shadow, the depth added by the open layout, and the calming colors used in the private area.

Notably, the design received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding creativity and ingenious incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The project aimed to fulfill the needs of a three-generation family, with a focus on health and environmental protection throughout the design process.
