United Units Architects (UUA) introduces the Mountain Impression Power Plant, a waste-to-energy facility, blending art and engineering in Nanning, China.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
United Units Architects (UUA) proudly presents the Mountain Impression Power Plant, a pioneering waste-to-energy facility harmonizing art and engineering in Nanning, China. The design draws inspiration from the undulating karst mountains, aiming to redefine the public attributes and humanistic values of industrial buildings.
Backed by the undulating karst mountains, the factory building's facade features a pattern of undulating mountain ranges, symbolically remedying the damage caused by human impacts. The design's unique properties are derived from the combination of trigonometric function curves through parametric design, ensuring a dynamic aesthetic that changes with viewing angles and environmental conditions.
The facility boasts a daily waste processing capacity of 3,000 tons and utilizes waste incineration to generate electricity, contributing to carbon neutrality. The project commenced in January 2020 and was completed in August 2022, reflecting UUA's commitment to innovative and sustainable design.
