Phantom Sun: A Futuristic System Furniture Design

Wang Lu's Phantom Sun system furniture design embodies the essence of space light, with a joyful and confident feeling of hot brilliance. The elegant yet eye-catching hot color, combined with cool metal and translucent acrylic material, creates a futuristic aesthetic reminiscent of the winter optical phenomena "illusion sun." The design stands out for its removal of needless decorations and materials, creating a large modern minimalist home area. Employing ecologically safe materials and bionic technology fabric, the Phantom Sun series is a true awakening of space and function, giving people and space more value.

The deep metallic tone combined with the bright sunshine color reflects a forward-thinking color investigation, while the stress of youth is mirrored in the effect of metallic panel gloss and dazzling acrylic. The design specifications include a TV cabinet, sideboard, sofa back cabinet, fitness cabinet, and cloakroom, all designed to create a large modern minimalist home area.

The project started in January 2021 and was completed in China in December 2021. It was exhibited at the Guangzhou Construction Expo in July 2022. The design is a result of Wang Lu's deep research into nature and human emotions, aiming to create a design that fully embraces nature and addresses human needs. The design overcame challenges related to custom items and space constraints, aiming to achieve maximal release of light color in a limited space.
