Handy Kuo's "Less is More" Residential Design

Handy Kuo's "Less is More" design embraces simplicity, featuring a black and white color palette to create a peaceful and harmonious living space. The 56 square meters limited residence boasts an open kitchen and a half-height TV wall that divides the spaces, offering an open floor plan and a tranquil atmosphere. The design incorporates iron parts, matte black glass, leather, metal laminate hard plastic sheet, and raw concrete to realize the vision.

The main wall's ink-colored finish and white cabinets provide a high-contrast look, complemented by hand-applied texture to add a rustic atmosphere and a personalized touch. The TV wall is designed with dark tones to visually expand the space, while the open floor plan creates an unobstructed visual line, softening sharp corners with beveled edges and creating a stable yet not heavy main wall.

Entering the bedroom, intricate lacquer on the wall behind the bed and a deep ocean blue headboard add warmth and serenity to the space. The project, completed in July 2022 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, offers a serene living space that provides a peaceful retreat from the pressures of urban life.
