Teng Gu's Times Pavilion, a Unique Panoramic Experience, Wins Silver A' Design Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Teng Gu's Times Pavilion has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category for 2021. The project, which started in July 2018 in Guangzhou, China, and was completed in March 2020, offers a unique panoramic experience that breaks the traditional static space design. The pavilion, with a total area of 1200 square meters, showcases the corporate culture of Times China Company through a dynamic and interactive exhibition space.
In this innovative project, Teng Gu has subverted the physical relationship between space and furnishings, creating a human-dependent circulation within the limited space of the Times Pavilion. Through the linkage of track, machinery, and program, the moving trail of the wall is switched back and forth to activate the entire space, providing visitors with a real sense of life and a different spatial experience. The spatially movable wall, composed of giant LED display screens, can be folded flexibly, offering a sustainable and green environmental protection concept.
The pavilion features high-tech display screens that demonstrate the development history of Times China, reducing the waste of resources in physical presentation and updating information in real time. The design concept is based on the interpretation of the Times China brand, focusing on the spatial concept of apocalypse and extracting the keywords of space, matter, and energy to give a unique design response.
