WithYou, designed by Qiutong Yu and Weilong Gao, addresses the critical issue of elderly falls, particularly in the bathroom where 70% of such incidents occur. By utilizing a depth camera for human posture detection, WithYou ensures privacy protection while detecting falls and promptly notifying emergency contacts and medical personnel to minimize harm.

Moreover, WithYou features a speaker through which doctors can offer professional guidance to the elderly. The device also incorporates an interactive light system that provides a sense of security and companionship, illuminating when approached and changing in response to detected danger.

Utilizing advanced algorithms such as Depthmap and Heatmap, WithYou achieves human posture prediction and background segmentation. The design language emphasizes simplicity to seamlessly integrate into home environments.

Users can set emergency contacts and ambulance preferences via the accompanying app. In the event of a fall, WithYou immediately alerts the designated contacts, ensuring swift assistance. The project, which commenced in January 2021, represents a significant leap in smart home privacy and safety technology.
