Weiquan Long's Blessing Envelope: A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation

Weiquan Long presents the Blessing Envelope, a packaging design inspired by traditional Chinese New Year red envelopes. This innovative and modern take on the classic concept incorporates elements of traditional Chinese culture to convey blessings and environmental protection views. The design features a walking cloud cartoon character named P, creatively representing the Chinese zodiac animal for 2016, the monkey. The Blessing Envelope aims to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle and raise environmental awareness during the festive season.

The Blessing Envelope is made using green paper and measures 85mm x 1mm x 165mm. It carries slogans and illustrations in Cantonese, urging individuals to embrace an environmentally responsible mindset and enjoy an eco-friendly life. The packaging is distributed for free to enterprises and individuals, promoting environmental awareness through various platforms and calling for collective action towards environmental protection.

Developed in January 2016 in Guangzhou, China, the Blessing Envelope underwent extensive research and design refinement to capture the essence of Lingnan culture and festival customs. Weiquan Long overcame creative and technical challenges to seamlessly combine the monkey and cloud elements, creating a distinctive and meaningful design that resonates with the spirit of the Chinese New Year.
