FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Thomas von Kummant's Gung Ho comic series illustration is a unique and exceptional style for the French comic market. The cover image, created with digital artwork using Photoshop and a Wacom Tablet, portrays a post-apocalyptic world where survival is only possible in fortified cities and settlements. The synergy of narrative and aesthetics serves the dramaturgy and the development of the comic, capturing the moment of teenage adrenaline.
The comic series, developed and realized by Thomas von Kummant and Benjamin von Eckartsberg, was published by the Swiss publisher Edition Paquet and has been translated into several languages. The first book was published in France in 2013, and the project was completed in January 2021 in Munich with a publication in France in June 2021. The comic has won the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2022.
