Moon of Elegance is a residential house designed by Jia-Chi Shiu for a retired senior couple, prioritizing safety and elegance. Completed in January 2021 in Taichung, Taiwan, this unique project redefines space for senior living.

Jia-Chi Shiu's Moon of Elegance is a testament to thoughtful design for senior living. The 134.54m2 space, completed in January 2021, features a warm, subdued color scheme and see-through elements to maximize space and light. The design incorporates curvy elements and chamfered furniture to ensure safety and easy movement for the retired couple.
The dining table, made of African glistening teak with non-toxic paint, and the acid- and heat-resistant clay tiles used in the kitchen island, reflect the homeowners' love for hardwood and pottery. The design also integrates innovative storage solutions, such as see-through storage at the entrance and hardwood cabinets with matte tinted glass in the study area.
Recognized for its innovative and practical approach, Moon of Elegance was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world for senior living.
