Introducing Ling: A Revolutionary Chatbot App by Qian Wan

Renowned digital product designer Qian Wan has unveiled Ling, a groundbreaking mobile chatbot app designed to combat racial discrimination and empower Chinese international students studying abroad. Ling provides real-time inquiry functionality and learning resources about equity, diversity, and inclusion, enabling students to identify and prevent discrimination and harassment. The app also connects users to their school’s trustful case report sources, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for students.

Qian Wan utilized Miro board to synthesize research findings, while the interface design was meticulously crafted through Figma, Sketch, and Illustrator. Ling is exclusively designed for iOS, offering a seamless and user-friendly experience for students seeking support and resources related to racial discrimination.

With Ling, the first time users are asked to connect with their student account, ensuring easy access to trustworthy resources. Through humanized conversational interaction, Ling guides users in identifying racial discrimination types and provides support by connecting them with their school’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) department.

Qian Wan's visionary approach and unwavering empathy for women have led to the creation of Ling, revolutionizing the design landscape and shaping a future where inclusivity and female empowerment are at the forefront.
