Development of Suzhou 2017 WG47

China Railway Construction Real Estate introduces the Suzhou 2017 WG47 residential building, located in Suzhou's old town, with design inspiration drawn from the nearby Humble Administrator's Garden and North Temple Pagoda.

The project emphasizes a free-flowing courtyard and the fusion of interior and exterior spaces, showcasing the essence of Suzhou Gardens' layout design. It features a blend of traditional and modern materials, with a focus on modern Zen spirit in landscape design.

The roofing, wood components, doors, windows, and corridor pillars incorporate advanced materials, while the foundation uses traditional stone materials. The project covers a land area of 37,909 square meters with a gross floor area of 22,745 square meters.

China Railway Construction Real Estate Group (East China) Co., Ltd. led the project, with gad as the design company and Jiang Yu as the chief designer.

The Suzhou 2017 WG47 aims to create a space within a limited area where people can live, play, and appreciate, drawing on the space organization method of the Suzhou Gardens.

The project started in January 2018 and was completed in December 2020 in Suzhou, representing a unique blend of traditional and modern methods to renovate the old town.

The Suzhou 2017 WG47 was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
