Hangzhou TEMPs Interior Design proudly presents the Chu Yan Restaurant, a stunning culinary oasis located at the historic Shiliupu Wharf on the Bund in Shanghai. Inspired by a banquet poem from the Book of Songs, this 2500-square-meter restaurant offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modern luxury.

The restaurant's design draws inspiration from the rich history of the Shiliupu Wharf, once the largest dock in Shanghai, and incorporates elements that pay homage to the area's 150-year-old legacy. The interior design reflects a scene-based approach, creating a space where diners can enjoy a delightful dining experience while immersed in the cultural heritage of the location.

Boasting a range of unique features, including a large LED wall at the entrance showcasing real-time views of the Huangpu River, the restaurant offers individual guest areas, private rooms, and a waiting area on different floors. The design seamlessly integrates tough lines, marble walls, and art decorations, creating a visually stunning and immersive environment for patrons.

The Chu Yan Restaurant is a testament to the designer's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. The use of artificial marble, insulating glass, and laminated glass not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to environmental conservation and energy savings. Sound-absorbing panels and coatings are strategically employed to reduce noise and create a more pleasant dining atmosphere.

Designed between April 2018 and July 2019, the Chu Yan Restaurant is not just a dining establishment but a spiritual space that celebrates Chinese catering culture. The design team's meticulous attention to detail and innovative solutions overcame challenges posed by the original building structure, resulting in a space that evokes the imagery of an unfolded Chinese scroll, symbolizing the rich cultural tapestry of the region.
