Nicholas McMillan unveils the Island Rain Spiked Sparkling Seltzer, a clean and crisp packaging design inspired by the flavors of S. Georgia, targeting international markets, and set to make a splash in the spiked seltzer industry.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nicholas McMillan introduces the Island Rain Spiked Sparkling Seltzer, a packaging design inspired by the refreshing taste and flavors of S. Georgia, aiming to distinguish itself in international markets. The new logo, inspired by island and beach-themed typography, along with a clean and crisp white can design, sets it apart in the spiked seltzer industry. Splashes of color add a youthful appeal and easily identifiable flavors, making it a standout product.
The initial design was intended to be printed directly on substrate, but the client opted to continue using shrink-wrapped cans for the current production run. The 12 FL OZ Aluminum can, with a height of 413mm and a diameter of 211mm, ensures a sleek and modern look for the product.
Island Rain is now being distributed to international markets, with its first appearance on shelves in Guatemala in September 2020. The project, which started in October 2019 in Omaha, Georgia, USA, concluded in January 2020.
The design process involved overcoming challenges such as creating a unique design while maintaining the brewery's existing community's interest and ensuring a low production cost. The design is a result of extensive research, including market group feedback and a review of potential competitors' products.
Nicholas McMillan, an experienced and award-winning creative professional, has demonstrated his expertise in conceptual, brand, collateral, and package design, marketing and communication strategy, and leadership in the creative industry.
