Urban Taste Residence: A Stylish and Upscale Private Living Space

Located in a trendy neighborhood in Nanchang City, Urban Taste Residence is a 63 square meter single apartment designed to offer a modern and tasteful living experience. The project, initiated in October 2019 and completed in December 2020, aimed to create a private paradise in the midst of the busy city center for single men seeking a luxurious and contemporary lifestyle.

The design team, led by Lei Fu, utilized contemporary materials and aesthetics to realize the owner's vision of a stylish and upscale private residence. The concise and transparent layout of the interior space ensures seamless circulation, while the use of glass partitions creates a feeling of virtual and real views, expanding the visual scope and effect of the space.

Main materials used in the project include laminate floor, glass brick, latex paint, natural marble, stone, and metal, contributing to the modern and tasteful ambiance of the residence. The design team's meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship resulted in a space that offers spiritual and aesthetic enjoyment, akin to a heavenly retreat at home.

One of the unique features of Urban Taste Residence is the use of glass partitions and a carefully designed layout to create a transparent and connected living space. This design choice ensures a seamless connection between the living room and the bedroom, enhancing the overall sense of openness and transparency within the apartment.

Despite the spatial constraints, the design team successfully overcame the challenge of creating a private and tasteful home within limited square footage. The use of glass tiles and partitions, in combination with wood elements, contributed to the creation of a warm and inviting atmosphere within the residence, catering to the owner's preferences.

Lei Fu, a graduate student specializing in interior and product design at Nanchang University, led the design team in realizing the Urban Taste Residence. Fu, along with like-minded designer friends and classmates, established a design studio to engage in design research work. His outstanding work has been recognized with numerous international awards, including the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for Urban Taste Residence.
