Designing a Seamless Pathway for Business Function Areas

Luigi & Wing Studio | Segacn has unveiled the Glowing Pavilion, a commercial office design in Shanghai Songjiang. Inspired by the traditional Shanghai teahouse, this innovative design seamlessly blends historical traits with modern business functionality. The Pavilion serves as a visual linkage, guiding guests from the reception and lobby lounge to the pre-function lounge and conference room, while also ensuring privacy and tranquility. The design aims to create a balance between cultural, natural, and commercial elements, offering a unique spatial innovation.

The Pavilion utilizes the height of the ceiling, incorporating reinterpreted traditional screens adorned with engraved acrylic panels and delicate metal details. The design also features a semi-enclosed teahouse, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for casual business activities. Additionally, the conference room presents a lasting corporate impact, with a custom-made center island for presenters to interact seamlessly with the audience. The project size spans 3000 sqft with a ceiling height of 6500mm, and it has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design in 2021.
