Gym Design Reflecting Pantone 2021 Colors of the Year

Chien-Yuan Wang, in collaboration with Hui-Chen Fang, introduces a vibrant gym design project, "Colors and the Origin," in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The design draws inspiration from the Pantone 2021 Colors of the Year, Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow, symbolizing hope, strength, and stability.

The 99-square meter space embodies the coexistence of power, gentleness, and aesthetics, with steel-structured elements and vibrant colors expressing happiness, hope, power, and stability. The design utilizes deconstruction techniques and vibrant color blocks, promoting energetic workouts and well-being.

The gym's bold use of color and texture, combined with natural elements symbolizing "the origin," creates an environment that fosters purity, beauty, and confidence. The project, completed in July 2021, serves as a testament to resilience and hope during challenging times, conveying messages of unshakable power and happiness through the language of colors and geometry.
