Yashang Hing Tau Ball by Team Mars

Team Mars, a design team based in Shenzhen, China, has unveiled the innovative "Yashang Hing Tau Ball" meatball packaging design, which integrates traditional customs of the Chaoshan area in China with a modern and creative twist. Inspired by animal graphics and color composition, the design aims to bring auspicious elements to the packaging, while also providing a better consumer experience through the incorporation of a red envelope around the product.

The unique properties of the design lie in its creative use of modern graphics to represent the various raw materials of the product, distinguishing them through color contrast. This not only reflects a sense of modern fashion but also enhances the product's visual impact on the shelf display terminal.

Utilizing paper printing, food-grade plastic, and silk belt, the packaging design measures 260mmx150mmx260mm, catering to the size preferences of consumers and offering an enhanced consumption experience. The project commenced in September 2020 and was completed in October 2020 in Shenzhen, with the product hitting the market in December 2020.

Despite creative and technical challenges, the design successfully combines a variety of animal images into a package that embodies the characteristics of the Chaoshan region while maintaining a modern and fashionable presentation. The design was recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, acknowledging its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
