Alina Pimkina's 'Polyot' Restaurant Redefines Futuristic Dining in Moscow
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alina Pimkina's 'Polyot' restaurant in Moscow offers a futuristic dining experience that transports guests to another world. The interior, inspired by modern futurism, exudes energy, speed, and dynamism, creating a space that is both minimalistic and awe-inspiring. The restaurant, located at 2 Khodynsky Boulevard, Russian Federation, Moscow, 125167, was a collaborative effort by a talented design team, including co-founder and designer Julien Albertini, architect Ilya Mozgunov, and designer Anna Lutaeva.
The restaurant's interior design, featuring sleek steel shapes and portholes reminiscent of a space shuttle, is a departure from traditional Moscow restaurants, embracing minimalism over ornate decor. The absence of patterns and ornaments is compensated by large shining objects, creating a unique ambiance that captivates visitors.
Custom-made furniture and lighting, including the striking 'Sailormoon' chair and 'V' lighting by Asthetique, contribute to the restaurant's futuristic aesthetic. Additionally, the installation of 3.6-meter silver Martian goddess figures and 6-meter high concrete art adds a touch of grandeur to the space.
The 'Polyot' restaurant, which opened its doors in July 2019, is the brainchild of Alina Pimkina and her design team. The project, which commenced in May 2018, was a result of extensive research into futuristic movements of the 20th century, with a particular influence from the book "Dune." The team overcame the challenge of creating a cozy futurism, ensuring that the restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere despite its futuristic theme.
Alina Pimkina's 'Polyot' restaurant was honored with the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its exceptional and highly innovative design that pushes the boundaries of art, science, and technology, contributing to societal wellbeing. The restaurant continues to operate successfully under the guidance of restaurateur Kira Baybakova, offering guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience in the heart of Moscow.
