Yongning Station: Redefining Public Architecture in Yongning, China

Inspired by childhood memories of the dangerous yet alluring Yongning park, Yijia Hu created the urban mini complex, Yongning Station, as a tribute to the fleeting scenery of the area.

Yongning Station stands out with its unique combination of public toilets, leisure, and exhibition spaces, offering an open view to the river and transforming the concept of public architecture.

The design of Yongning Station is a testament to Hu's innovative approach, utilizing advanced technology to create a functional and visually striking space. The project was realized using the concept of "returning to public private space," with a focus on modular design and efficient space utilization.

Yongning Station spans an area of 450sqm and boasts a plot ratio of 0.3, making it a significant addition to the urban landscape of Yongning, China.

Yongning Station, with its unique blend of public facilities and leisure spaces, has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2020, showcasing its outstanding expertise and innovation in the field of architecture and design.
