Be Amphitheatre: A New Symbol for Warsaw's Mokotow District

mode:lina™, a renowned architectural studio, has unveiled Be Amphitheatre, a modern outdoor event space located at ul. Konstruktorska 11, Warsaw, Poland. The amphitheatre is a response to the demand for open and public spaces, free of fences, allowing for casual, friendly meetings out in the open. Completed in September 2020, this project aims to become a symbol for the Mokotow district and a catalyst for positive change.

Designed to cater to the needs of the local community, Be Amphitheatre provides an open space for residents and employees of the surrounding office buildings. It serves as a venue for events, yoga classes, open lectures, and recreational activities, fostering integration and creating a space for children and youth to gather.

The design of Be Amphitheatre is a fusion of the classical amphitheater formula and green zones, addressing the lack of public spaces in the area. The structure features a massive, glass-filled concrete roof supported by a powerful ferroconcrete wall, creating a unique and inviting space for various activities.

Recognized for its innovative and impactful design, Be Amphitheatre has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2022. This accolade highlights the exceptional expertise and creativity demonstrated in the design, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and innovation.
