FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Liu Bin's Tarentum project is a unique Greek-inspired cafe bar and whisky lounge located under the Ferris Wheel on the coast of Bao'an, Shenzhen, China. The design integrates the cafe bar into the Bao'an Coastal Cultural Park, offering visitors a place to enjoy leisure time with panoramic views of the Ferris Wheel, distant beaches, clear sea, and blue sky.
The Tarentum project is designed in an Ancient Greek style, featuring Greek food and a whisky lounge. The warm ivory-colored cement facade and gentle cream tones create a relaxed atmosphere. The space transforms into a whisky bar at night, providing a comfortable and private environment for patrons. The interior design includes gray leather sofas, blue satin cushions, and gray-blue marble textured tables, evoking the ambiance of the Mediterranean Sea.
The design team, including Liu Bin, Lin Zhifeng, and Luo Jieran, incorporated innovative elements such as a specially designed external window for hand-brewed coffee and a sunken area next to the Whisky Bar. The space allows customers to enjoy the whisky night under a moon-shaped cement chandelier, creating a unique and memorable experience.
The Tarentum project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2022 for its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
