Donxi's Clover High Stool: A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

Shuangyong Jin, the architect turned furniture designer, introduces the Clover High Stool, a fusion of the classic Romanesque arch and the symbolism of a four-leaf clover. Crafted with precision and innovation, this stool embodies elegance and stability, breaking the traditional image of Chinese woodwork.

The stool's unique design features "leaves" made from scrap solid wood in a mosaic pattern, with curvy legs carved by CNC digital control machines and hand-polished for a flawless finish. The use of the Chinese Sun Mao technique ensures a stable structure, while the incorporation of leftover wood materials showcases sustainable and innovative craftsmanship.

Designed in Shanghai in March 2020, the Clover High Stool was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its exceptional creativity and technical excellence. With its fusion of tradition and modernity, this stool exemplifies Donxi's commitment to integrating contemporary design with Chinese traditional craftsmanship.
