Introducing Bradco, a luxury industrial unit in Castelo de Paiva, Portugal, designed by Cristina Vaz Santos e Paulo Rodrigues, with a focus on local materials, landscape integration, and ample natural light.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Bradco industrial unit, designed by Cristina Vaz Santos e Paulo Rodrigues, stands as a beacon of luxury production in Portugal. The factory, specializing in leather goods, is a unique blend of industrial functionality and aesthetic appeal, with a strong emphasis on integrating local materials and the surrounding landscape. The use of stone, glass, and steel, along with strategic skylights, creates a space that fosters a positive work environment for its employees.
Spanning 50,000mm wide, 76,000mm deep, and 125,000mm high, Bradco is a testament to innovative industrial design. The project, initiated in 2019 and completed in 2020, was a result of extensive research and technological development, backed by a significant investment to enhance job opportunities and contribute to the local economy.
Challenges in combining industrial functionality with the beauty of the landscape were overcome, resulting in a factory that not only produces luxury goods but also collaborates with renowned brands. The design, awarded Bronze in A' Architecture, Building, and Structure Design Award in 2022, showcases the team's dedication to creating spaces that elevate both functionality and aesthetics.
