akomi, a Brescia-based interdisciplinary agency, has unveiled the logo and launch campaign for the Italian Capital of Culture, a collaborative project between the cities of Bergamo and Brescia. The logo, inspired by the resilience of the cities during the first Covid wave, aims to challenge stereotypes and celebrate the cultural significance of the two industrial cities.
The logo, chosen by the Municipalities of Bergamo and Brescia, is designed to evolve over time and will be used beyond 2023. Its versatility allows for various applications, including embossing, perforation, and digital animation, with no limitations to its reproduction.
The design, which draws inspiration from the construction rods for which the cities are known, represents a significant milestone in the cultural collaboration between Bergamo and Brescia, showcasing their joint identity as the Italian Capital of Culture.
