Shangri-La Hotel in Shougang Park, Beijing, Illuminated with LED Lighting

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shangri-la Shougang Park Hotel Lighting Design

The Shangri-la Shougang Park Hotel, designed by Zhu Haiyan, beautifully combines the original industrial features of the site with warm LED lighting. Completed in December 2021, this 63,600 square meter hotel boasts 283 guest rooms and utilizes LED light sources to create a dynamic and comfortable lighting environment that changes with time.

In the interior and exterior spaces, LED lighting plays a pivotal role, with the facade featuring 3000k color temperature LED to harmonize with the park's surroundings at night. The lighting design also caters to the greenery, using sunlike lights for the trees to simulate natural sunlight and provide optimal oxygen content.

The hotel's standout feature is the 20-meter-high art installation "Journey of Hope," inspired by migrating birds and illuminated with narrow beam LED underwater lights. The lighting design overcame various challenges, including creating transparent indoor light effects and enhancing the internal light transmission effect of the hollow area.
