Residential Interior Design Project "Balance" by Alex Tsai

Alex Tsai's "Balance" project is a testament to the fusion of functionality and style, catering to the needs of a young entrepreneurial couple in Taipei, Taiwan. The design seamlessly integrates the living room and library, utilizing a U-shaped wood decoration panel to create a spacious, visually appealing, and functional living space. The project, which commenced in January 2019, was completed in March 2019, showcasing Tsai's meticulous attention to detail and innovative approach to interior design.

The key visual design element of "Balance" revolves around wood texture, emphasizing balance and harmony. The deep gray natural slate used for the television wall complements the wood walls, creating captivating contrasts in color temperature and texture. The project's unique features include the seamless integration of the sofa and desk, offering a multifunctional living space with a spacious visual effect.

Furthermore, "Balance" emphasizes the utilization of storage space and streamlining traffic flow through the strategic placement of cabinets. The warm wood color combined with industrial cold black gray, along with the three-dimensional pattern on the wood surfaces, adds an energetic appearance with irregular blocks, showcasing Tsai's innovative design approach.
