Cosmic Man: Retro-Futuristic Artistic Toy

Fan Bai's Cosmic Man is a collectible toy inspired by human ambition for infinite existence and space exploration. The design symbolizes humans expanding territory into space and pursuing eternal life through technology, with the mechanical brain representing AI and eternal consciousness. The retro-futuristic design features classic color contrast, armor for impact resistance, and mechanical elements that interpret rich stories, creating a unique and captivating aesthetic.

The toy is entirely digital R&D, featuring sustainable design with a lightweight and durable integration. Crafted with exquisite handy craftsmanship, the design empowers precise and efficient technology to create a warm modern commercial, artistic toy.

The Cosmic Man measures W 120mm x D 130mm x H 280mm, with package dimensions of W 220mm x D 180mm x H 360mm. It features a base as a charging unit, allowing for flexible rotation and posture changes of the arms and hands. The modular design enables disassembly, exchange, and collection of toy figures, providing an interactive and customizable experience.

The project started in 2021 and was completed in Beijing in 2022, following 15 experiments to achieve a balance between precision and energy efficiency. The design utilizes non-uniform thickness hollow-out technology and 3D printing to minimize consumables while maintaining refinement and quality.
